Goliath, called Jalut in the Quran, commanded a large army ready to fight a small cavalry of believers led by Talut (Saul), the King of Israel. Before heading into battle, Talut’s army prayed to God that He would guide them to victory. By God’s grace, the smaller cavalry defeated the larger army, and Golitah was slain by Daud (David), one of the prophets in Islam.
