Amany Killawi is a founding member of both Detroit Minds and Hearts Fellowship and Launchgood.com. At Detroit Minds and Hearts Fellowship, Killawi works with Muslim youth to realize their own dreams and skills to improve their communities, using her education as a social worker to inspire and facilitate their growth. At Launchgood, these passions for social services are given an entrepreneurial twist. The site co-founded by Killawi provides crowdfunding to social justice projects organized by Muslims around the world. Launchgood aims to energize and fund the creative power of Muslim ingenuity that has powered Islamicate culture for centuries using modern technology and global innovation.
