Leaders in Christian-majority Kenya are advocating to remove judicial bodies that administer Islamic personal law in a proposed new constitution up for referendum next month. Christian leaders argue that Muslims should not receive special privileges in the secular country, while Muslims feel this is a way of limiting their rights. Do you feel Muslim minorities are entitled to their own courts for issues pertaining to family and personal law in countries like Kenya?

No doubt that this is a flood of biblical proportion with devastation to men, women, children and life stock. This poll however does a disservice to the efforts of many Muslim women’s effort. Their work is not being showcased and they don’t have a megaphone to publicize their efforts. There is a huge disparity between the perception and reality. Unless media chooses to focus and showcase their effort this kind of polling minimizes their efforts
