Business woman, Advocate for children's education in rural Pakistan; Founding Director of Developments in Literacy (DIL)
Najmi Sarwar has over 15 years of project and people management experience in global firms in the U.S. and Asia. She was the Vice President in the Operations and Technology division at Citibank in New York from 2005-2010. She is also the Founding Director of Developments in Literacy (DIL), a U.S. non-profit organization supporting the primary and secondary education of 15,000 underprivileged girls and boys in the rural areas of Pakistan. Sarwar has worked in DIL since 1998 and has led initiatives to expand DIL as a global organization to 12 chapters across North America, Canada, Singapore and the UK. Sarwar received her Master of Science in computer science from New York University, and her bachelor's from Quaid -I-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan.
