AWAAM: Arab Women Active in the Arts and Media is an organization of Arab and Muslim women and women of color based in New York City. Through its programs in high schools and during the summer, AWAAM develops community organizing, art and media skills among young women and girls, and supports their growth as producers of mass media and active participants in their communities.
