ASUDA Organization for Combating Violence Against Women was founded in 2000 in Iraqi Kurdistan. Itis dedicated to combating violence against women through an institutional and systematic approach in order to enhance the status of women and strengthen civil society through participation of women. Its objectives are as follows:
1. Eradicating discrimination and violence against women in the Kurdish society.
2. Socializing the case of violence against women, and reinforcing the public opinion against this phenomenon.
3. Making the public aware of the negative consequences of violence against women.
4. Reinforcing the lobbying groups for changing the relevant laws, that are against women’s rights.
