The Afghan Women’s Writing Project (AWWP) provides a venue in which Afghan women can express themselves directly, without the mediation of a male relative or the mainstream media. Using three secure online classrooms, AWWP connects female writers in Afghanistan with female writers and teachers in the United States, providing regular workshops and publishing their work in an online magazine.
